Keeping kids warm in Nolan County
What We Do
Coats 4 Kids provides coats and jackets to kids in need.
Coats are provided to all schools in Nolan County including Sweetwater, Roscoe, Highland and Blackwell. We also provide coats to children under the care of The Department of Family Protective Services and 2ingage. The aforementioned organizations notify Coats 4 Kids and in return each child receives a brand new heavy coat.
About Us
Coats 4 Kids was founded by Loran Hendrix in 2019.
Loran Hendrix is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing. After graduating in 2014, Loran began her career as a nurse with Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. She also works as a nurse for CenterWell HomeHealth.
While working as a nurse in the Emergency Room, she noticed a need in the community for appropriate winter attire for children. The need in this community is real, not only are these children without heavy coats but many are without heat in their homes. This non-profit organization allows our community to ensure our kiddos stay warm.
